As returning visitors will no doubt have discovered, no updates have been made to this site for several months, or perhaps years, and I have no immediate plans for making any new additions to Neldoreth. The page will be kept up and running, however, so as to allow visitors access to already present material.

Guestbook to face deletion
A number of german companies have made numerous attempts these last days at using the guestbook as a way to attract traffic to their own websites. Thus the guestbook will be deleted.

Tolkien's house for sale
"20 Northmoor Road, the home in Oxford, UK where Tolkien wrote The Hobbit and most of The Lord of the Rings, is up for sale.
JRR Tolkien, his wife Edith and their children moved in there in 1930 and lived there comfortably for 17 years. The house is unlikely to be a template for Bag End or any other hobbit home (no round doors or windows, and definitely not underground), but it would have been a good example of the type of comfortable, unassuming middle class home of that time, and was the setting for many years of childhood and family life for the Tolkiens.
Sources estimate that it might sell for around 1.5 million (approx US.5 million). Oxford is an expensive area by UK standards."

Neldoreths goal is to within short time become a rich, info-containing Tolkien site, a place for those seeking in-dept information on the world of Middle-earth; its realms and inhabitants. Since the main focus lays upon the books you shall not see much or anything about the movies at all. Check out the links for movie related sites. Anyway, I hope to fullfill the above goals and deliver Middle-earth as best as is possible for me, here on the web.
